UNIFORM LIST FROM SEPTEMBER 2016

 

This short version of the list is to help parents to shop for uniforms and give guidance on the choice of correct items. Full regulations are printed separately and are also included in the Parents’ Handbook.

  1. Single-breasted French-blue blazer.
  2. School tie.
  3. Plain white shirt for boys, plain white blouse for girls.
  4. Plain navy V-necked pullover.

Heavy or ‘chunky’ pullovers or those which show beneath the blazer are not acceptable and must not be worn.  Cardigans are not permitted in Years 8-12.

Plain grey four-gored skirt.

Junior skirts must be knee length and must not be straight or have pleats or slits.  Worn with grey socks or grey opaque tights.

Senior school (Years 11 – 14)

Plain black worsted trousers

Grey pleated skirt (knee length).

Recommended lengths 24-26 inches.

Worn with grey opaque tights.

Skinny fit trousers are unacceptable

 

Denims of any colour and/or exaggerated styles are not acceptable

 

Outdoor coat/hooded sweatshirt

There are many suitable coats available on the market.  We require only that they be navy-blue or black, mid-thigh length for protection and must not have slogans or panels of other colours other than safety strips.

PE and Games

Details of the PE and Games uniform items are on a separate page or can be found in the handbook.  PE kit must not be worn while travelling to or from school.

Also given separately and in the handbook are detailed uniform regulations and rules relating to hair, jewellery etc.  Please note that the official supplier will stock the official uniform garments.  They also have in stock other items which appear similar but which do not meet all of the school’s regulations.  It is the responsibility of parents to ensure that the correct garments are purchased and worn at school.  The school reserves the right to send home pupils who do not comply with uniform regulations.
