Flowerday Suite Opening

Today, we officially opened the Flowerday Suite at our school. This space is designed to support pupils through bespoke programmes focusing on a range of strategies including emotional regulation, organisation, and anxiety. Referred pupils will complete a 6-week course tailored to their individual needs. Our hope is to create a nurturing and inclusive space where every pupil is motivated to achieve their best, equipping them for lifelong success and fulfilment, in line with our vision of "Educating for Life."
We are excited to work with our pupils in this way, building positive relationships and teaching lifelong skills.
A special thank you to Pat Flowerday and family friend Jacqueline Prior for joining us for the opening today. The suite is named in honour of Pat’s brother, Robert Flowerday, a dedicated teacher at Antrim Grammar School from 1978-2004. Mr Flowerday was a talented mathematician who had a positive impact on many lives as a teacher, colleague, and friend. He believed in his pupils and worked tirelessly to help them achieve their full potential. After leaving Antrim Grammar School in 2004, he continued to tutor pupils in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, making a lasting impact until his tragic death in 2018.
Mr Flowerday's legacy of dedication and love for education lives on through the Flowerday Suite.
